Nobu Restaurant: Seattle

Through a critique with my peers, we determined my sharp, planar forms were the most successful of my studies. The next step was to turn this study into a 1:24 scale restaurant interior for a proposed Nobu: Seattle.

After our last studies we were informed this set would be a precursor to an actual architectural environment. I created three studies, trying to vary each style as much as possible to escape my comfort zone.

Our quarter started with a study of spacial form. Each Junior made 3 dynamic and 2 static studies in a 12”x8”x5” space. The goal was to divide the area into dominant, sub-dominate and supportive spaces with lines and planes.
